Project: Bathurst Hospital
Where: 361-365, Howick St, Bathurst, NSW
Type: Exterior construction and refurbishment
The Bathurst Hospital was first opened in 1834 and during it’s 177 years it has undergone various upgrades and additions.
Moran Project Interiors has been commissioned to upgrade the original building with a state-of-the art fit out, converting this beautiful building into an education centre and consulting rooms.
The project, incorporating the original building, include a state-of-the art interior fit out of all consulting rooms across two levels and the UWS. A particular feature unifying all 3 levels included a highly polished Polyurethane finished façade in the lift lobbies. Another design feature included perforated timber ceilings in the level 1 tower, designed to be seen at the entrance to the building. Also, in the new hospital in order to increase ward capacity, Moran Project Interiors built new extensions to the building which included interior fit out and exterior cladding.
Moran Project Interiors worked closely with the architect and construction managers to carefully and precisely renew this purpose built and designed facility, taking into account the heritage and integrity of this 177 year old building.
The Bathurst Hospital now has state-of-the art facilities within a beautiful heritage building that is designed for function and purpose, to service patients and staff for many years to come.
